Primary International

For the primary students the first bell is at 8:25 and the lessons start at 8:30.

Primary students get library, PHE, ICT, DFL or EFL and technology lessons from specialist teachers besides their regular curriculum with their classroom teachers. All our primary students get a morning outside snack & play break and a free outside playtime after eating their lunch in their classrooms.

Every year, students from group 6 get a chance to go on an overnight trip. Primary lessons end on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays at 15:30, and Wednesdays at 12:30.

Secondary

Our Secondary students start their day at 8:45 and end their day at 15:55, except Wednesdays which end at 14:55. DP students can study off campus if their lesson schedules allow. Throughout the year, there are various extracurricular activities arranged for the secondary students to participate in, some of which might be located off campus, including overnight school camps per year group.

Primary Dutch Bilingual

Children are welcome at school from 8:00 and can play on the playground (or wait in the kiosk in case of bad weather) under supervision of a staff member until 8:15. The school building opens at 8:15. Students may then go to their classrooms, where their class teacher will welcome them.

Lessons start at 8:30.

Hello! Welcome to our school! My name is Ole and I am a DP2 student and it is my fourth year of attending the ISE. I feel very at home here. Our school is surrounded by lots of nature, and I enjoy biking to school every day. I love the green study booths in the library and the student support classroom where I can really focus on my studies in quiet.

The ISE offers a lot of opportunities for students to explore what they like, what they want to do, and figure out their interests. I have been involved in the school’s musicals for the last few years and I am also part of the robotics team. Last year I was able to go to America for a robotics competition and I really enjoyed it!
