HOW TO GET TO THE ISE CAMPUS
Bike Bus and Bike Pool initiatives
In collaboration with the ISE Eco Club we have started a Bike Bus and a Bike Pool initiative for students to ride together to and from school, accompanied by parent volunteers leading and trailing the group for safety or together with other students. What is the difference between the 2 initiatives:
What is a bike bus? It’s a fixed route to and from school with designated “bus stops” along the way where bike riders from different neighbourhoods and areas can join up with fellow student riders and the adults who will serve as bus escorts.
What is a bike pool? It’s a fixed route to and from school with designated “bus stops” along the way where bike riders from different neighbourhoods and areas can join up with fellow student riders. Please note that there won’t be adult chaperons for bike pool. Students cycle themselves as a group.
Students can also choose to bike alone or with their own friends. The ISE is easily accessible by bike, and there are enough spaces for the students, teachers and staff to park their bikes.
Taking the Bus
There is a designated bus line for the students, teachers and staff that rides to and from the ISE Campus. This bus, line 610, leaves from Eindhoven Central Station around 08:00. There are 2 busses available, and bus volunteers are present to help the students arrive safely to the school. The bus ride takes about 17 minutes, and everyone arrives in time for the start of the day around 08:17.
At the end of the day, the busses come around 2 times: first at 15:40 and then at 16:15. This is due to the Primary department finishing earlier than the Secondary department. The students then arrive at either 16:00 or 16:30 back at Eindhoven Central Station.
