School fees & Costs
As you will know, our school requests a school fee/sponsor contribution. These fees are used for reducing the group size, second language teaching, attending to special needs, organising school concerts, school trips, sports days etc. The fees are also used to provide translations, purchase extra learning aids and generally improve the learning environment of our school.
The Dutch government believes that the compensation paid to schools in The Netherlands is sufficient for an adequate level of facilities. This compensation however is set for a normal Dutch school with large teaching groups. A law was introduced which restricts regulations concerning school fees/sponsor contributions and the ways to collect them. All schools are bound by these regulations and as a consequence we have to ask you to fill in and sign a School Fee/Sponsor Contribution Agreement.
The ISE charges a school base fee which is in line with the other Dutch International Schools. The total costs include the base fee and compulsory school-related costs. The total costs are used to reduce the class size, allow for specialized classes, attend to special needs, the organization of special workshops and events and other school-related costs such as examination costs and compulsory excursions and trips. The total costs are also used to purchase extra learning aids and generally improve the learning environment of our school.
